High Point Golf Club News for September
Labor Day starts out the month, but the Clubhouse and Golf Club always have activities galore!!!! Regular & special events are noted below, and any additions or changes will be announced as they get closer. Watch for postings in the Clubhouse and on our Facebook club page or café page for updates. Also, the HPGC is preparing for an October transition in membership pricing. Look for a full-page notice in this month’s newsletter with specifics.
Special Events Monday, September 7th – The Labor Day celebration will start out with a golf scramble followed by a barbecue lunch in the clubhouse. Watch for sign-up sheets for the scramble on the clubhouse bulletin boards.
Regular Events Tuesdays – Taco Tuesdays and Music Bingo will be on select dates to be announced. Tacos are served from 4:00-6:00 pm and non-members can enjoy our tacos through our café carry-out option
Thursdays – Karaoke is from 5:00-9:00 with our bar menu available from the café and drinks flowing from the bar. We hope to see you there to sing, dance, or just enjoy the company of friends and neighbors!
Friday – Friday Night Dinners continue every Friday night from 4:00-6:00 pm with the café regular menu available before our regular Friday night events. Carry-out meals are also an option for non-members.
Friday - Show Me the Money is played from 6:30-7:30. Come early and grab a seat and beverage because the crowd gets big and the bigger the crowd, the bigger the prizes!!
Friday - Queen of Hearts drawing occurs at 6:00. Tickets for the Queen are available in the Clubhouse lobby throughout the week and the night of the drawing until 5:30. You must be a golf club or social member to participate.
Saturday & Sunday – the Clubhouse bar is open Saturdays from Noon-3:00 and closed on Sundays through the summer. Whether there’s music playing, the TVs are on with football or other events, or you’re in the back Par-Tee room playing a friendly round of Wii bowling or other sports games, the Clubhouse is a great way to spend a leisurely or rainy Saturday afternoon.
Also, don’t forget that ANY resident of the community is welcome to use the Driving Range and Putting Green. Range balls are available in the Pro Shop or Clubhouse vestibule for $3.00 a bucket.
